POLICIES:

At Sureshot Productions we create Wedding Videos and Slideshows with a high quality DVD-R format. And we check each copy sometimes on two different DVD players to make sure that it is working properly. Our DVDs are compatible with 95% of most DVD players manufactured, but not all manufacturers adhere to certain formatting standards. I you have trouble playing our DVDs on your player, try a different player from the list of compatible players listed below, you might want to also try cleaning your DVD player with a lens cleaner. DVD-Rs play better on DVD players created after 2000.

Here's a great DVD player at Best Buy, Toshiba SD4000. I have one and it plays DVD-Rs very well. It retails for $44.00.

DVD Player Compatibility

It’s the player that’s incompatible, not your disc.
The first thing to keep in mind is that the disc you receive be 100% DVD compliant as specified by the DVD Consortium a group comprised of the ten companies who originated the DVD format. We only produce high-quality, state-of-the-art products.

Will my disc work on my player?

The easy answer is that over 95% of the DVD players on the market today will play your DVD. These players are generally produced by the major manufacturers and are 100% DVD compliant. So what about the other 5%? Well, some manufacturers, in a rush to get products to market, build their machines to work on most discs, realizing that some features of DVD may not work. Many of these machines have problems playing certain Hollywood titles as well as DVD-R discs which are the only reasonable media option when creating " short run" or "one off" DVD production. Replicated DVD’s (like the ones you rent in the video stores) are 100% compatible but most manufacturers have a 1000 disc production minimum. So why don't we create replicated discs? The initial mastering process is extremely expensive, $2,500.00 to $5,000.00.

I have a "first generation" player. Will my disc work?
First generation DVD players are defined as those introduced in 1997, the year DVD was introduced to the world. Many of the players that first hit the streets are not 100% compliant with the entire DVD specification. The number of these players that are incompatible is substantially higher than 5%.

What if my disc won’t work in my player?
Well, most likely the disc you received from Sureshot Productions contains treasured memories that you will enjoy for a lifetime. Since a DVD is designed to last 100 years, it is certain that you will be enjoying your DVD for much longer than your current player will last. DVD is the first media that truly gives you the opportunity to preserve your memories for many generations. However, if you have purchased an incompatible player, here are some possible solutions:

Return your player. If you bought the player recently, you may be able to return it for a new, compliant player. One of our customers had just purchased a player and found that it wasn’t compatible (but it was cheap) and was able to return it for a Toshiba player for only a few dollars more that was recently rated a best buy.

Buy a new player. Although this seems like a bit of a drastic solution, with the cost of a good, DVD-R compatible player as little as $45, many people simply get a new player. They may keep the other player for another room in the house or give it to a family member as a gift.

We recommend you verify your player's compatibility before using our services by requesting a sample dvd and throughly testing it on your current dvd player.

DVD Player Compatibility

Check the compatibility of your DVD Player before placing your order. If you're at all concerned about compatibility issues request one of our sample DVDs from an actual wedding and play it from start to finish on your DVD player before using our services.

Sureshot Productions can not issue refunds due to equipment incompatibility. To find continually updated information regarding DVD Players and compatibility check here: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers.php.

Please inform us of any special requests or extenuating circumstances that could effect the overall quality of the final product. As a customer it is you obligation to inform us of your need for any particular type of coverage beyond what we ordinarily provide. And if there's any doubt or concern for anything beyond what is normally included in the various packages then it is up to you to request extra equipment, such as, lighting, cameras, or microphones to inable us to provide the best possible quality of coverage in any given situation. If you are not sure, then ask us for our advice. In otherwords, makes us aware in advance of your special needs so that we can do everything possible to satisfy them. That said, you, the client(s), acknowledge that the finished product is a creative work, and as such, reasonable artistic license/discretion will be used in the filming and editing of the resulting video. Changes to the finished product unless caused by a clearly obvious mistake will result in additional re-editing charges at the rate of $50 per. hour.

Failure to submit songs or photos within eight months after your wedding date will result in us not using your photos in the final wedding video and will require that we select the songs for you.

To insure optimal quality we suggest using two cameras, always have sufficient lighting and sometimes using two wireless microphones.
