BIO
Steve began his filmmaking endeavors at Southern Illinois University, where he completed several short films and wrote his first screenplay. From there he transferred to Columbia College in Chicago and graduated with a B.A. degree in film and video production. While attending Columbia he wrote, edited and directed several short films and videos. Working with such people as Janusz Kaminski (Academy Award winning cinematographer) and Chuck Parello. Steve and Chuck co-wrote and co-directed a short together called GEAR SHIFT while Janusz worked as one of the cameramen on that production.


He has also completed eight full-length feature screenplays, which he has entered into numerous contests. And he has been a finalist and semi-finalist in AMERICAS BEST WRITING COMPETITION, 1999 and 1997. As well as a quarter-finalist in MAUIS WRITERS SCREENWRITING COMPETITION, 1998 and a HONORABLE MENTION from THE WRITERS NETWORK, 1998 as well. And most recently a QUARTER-FINALIST in FADE IN MAGAZINE'S SCREENWRITING AWARDS, 2002 and a TOP Contender in PROJECT GREENLIGHT'S SCREENPLAY COMPETITION 2004.



Steve recently completed several short films, WAKE UP and a 1/2 hour comedy entitled, AMERICAN MAID.


Steve is currently working on his feature film GIRL-U-WANT, and has finished his latest short film, entitled ALIEN ENCOUNTER.
